There are just under 1400 pork producers in Ontario and many small holders that enjoy raising a few pigs for the freezer. Farmers working within the regulated industry employ over 20,000 workers and generate $1.1 billion for our porvincial economy. Although most are still family farms, pork enterprises have grown in size. Only about a quarter of all farms ship fewer than 500 pigs a year.
Eastern Ontario is home to a range of pork producers—from large operators to boutique farms marketing free range and heritage breeds.
Feeds is pleased to serve the full range of pork producers, providing essential feed and nutrition services in support of healthy, thrifty animals.
